Hobson Prior is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role based in Romford, East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Mechanical Maintenance on a range of hospital utilities. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in engineering and a passion for maintaining and improving systems.

Key Responsibilities
- For this role you will, Carry out Mechanical Maintenance through both Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of hospital utilities.
- Perform plumbing duties as required.
- Liaise with appointed contractors for maintenance activities and capital projects.
- Use the Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system to record completed maintenance tasks.
- Identify risks and hazards in the workplace and implement control measures to reduce these.
- Collaborate with other trades across the site to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
- Participate in an on-call rota that covers weekends.
Requirements
- NVQ/City & Guilds in an engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in carrying out Mechanical Maintenance on utilities across Air Handling Units (AHU)/Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), water utilities, gas, etc.
- Plumbing experience.
- Ideally, experience as an Authorised Person.
