Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Coventry, CV3
Starting salary: £38,000 p/a + £2,100 Bonus
Working hours: 7:30am-4pm Monday-Thursday (Friday 7am-2pm).

The Company
Over the last 80 years our client has grown to become the leading manufacturer of specialist pharmaceutical products that help treat patients at hospitals and medical practices around the globe.
As a multi-site business with a huge presence both in the UK and Europe, their site in Coventry is home to a proud workforce of around 60 people who each contribute to the company's success.
The Site: New site with a modern and slick exterior and very clean working environment, two canteen/dining areas and three main production units.
Their main production units process over a tonne of lightweight materials each day, they also have an auxiliary and steam boiler room area which requires occasional maintenance.
Machinery: Laser cutting machines, Mixing machines, Checkweighers, Needle head Threading machines, Flow Wrappers, Belt fed Conveyors, Storage Tanks, Boilers and other specialist equipment on site.
The team: Welcoming and highly skilled team of three, they have strong working relationships and have lighthearted spirit and fantastic ideas of ways to improve the site.
The Role: Our client is looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer that will support a team of two multi-skilled with breakdown and planned maintenance on days.
- 50% Breakdown maintenance, fault finding and repairing/replacing faulty components.
- 30% PPM Maintenance, carrying out daily routine checks on equipment.
- 20% Reliability and continuous improvement work, installing new machinery, overhauling current machines and stripping them down and improving the maintenance stores area.
- Replacing: Pumps, Solenoid Valves, Pneumatics, Bearings, Rollers, Motors and other mechanical components.
- First line maintenance response training for laboratory operatives.
Entry Requirements
- City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Maintenance, ideally gained through a recognised apprenticeship.
- 5 Years of experience as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a high speed manufacturing environment, ideally Food or FMCG.
- Electrical and Mechanical skills required with a strong competency in fault finding and repairing machinery.
