Position Details:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our Mechanical Department. This role offers the chance to work within a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering team at a lower-tier COMAH facility. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate effective communication with various departments to achieve daily goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a Mechanical Maintenance team, overseeing both preventative and reactive maintenance in an industrial production environment.
- Manage various types of mechanical equipment, including gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, and pipework.
- Utilize Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and standard computer software.
- Mentor and train staff as needed.
- Interpret equipment drawings, manuals, and technical information to support maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to company safe systems of work and permit to work systems.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Educated to RQF level 3 (e.g., City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Mechanical Fitting/Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in an industrial Mechanical Maintenance environment.
