Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading biomass company in the UK to recruit a Mechanical Project Engineer for its site in Thetford.
The Mechanical Project Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to �60,000 + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:
� Supporting in the delivery of all major project and overhaul maintenance during the annual outage.
� Day-to-day management of contractors working on assigned projects.
� Producing and maintaining project documentation
� Working on ad-hoc projects throughout the year, such as, turbine inspections, conveyor overhauls, plant performance and efficiencies.
� Ensuring project delivery is completed within the assigned time frames and in a safe and efficient way. Understand the Permit to Work process and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements as required.
� Ensuring all works are completed within the parameters of the project budget.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
� HNC or higher Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification, HND / degree is preferable.
� At least five years’ experience working in a Power Station or similar Engineering environment such as Refinery, COMAH site, Oil & Gas etc.
� Ability to manage 3rd party contractors and manage project to be on time and on budget.
