Mechanical Project Engineer required for an engineering company who are truly specialists in the field of infrastructure technology. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer looking to join a company who are going through an exciting period of development and growth. This is an ideal role for a problem solver to play an integral role within the team and manage their own projects.
The successful candidate will come from a mechanical, mechatronics or materials engineering background and can come from any industry background capable of solving multidisciplinary challenges. You will need to have 3D modelling experience with CAD systems and be confident overseeing and running your own projects from start to finish including financial, project delivery and technical reporting.
The successful Mechanical Project Engineer will support the team in delivering both internal and external projects, with an initial focus on supporting the company’s engineering services projects, utilising the company’s technology to provide solutions within a range of different industries.
The Mechanical Project Engineer Role:
• Taking a lead role and supporting the team on the delivery of both internal and external projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget
• Using the company’s technology to provide solutions to client problems
• Key point of contact with customers to understand their requirements and developing mechanical design solutions
• Costing up of projects and writing proposals
• Setting project milestones
• Conduct product testing and validation, including the analysis of results
• Support and guide supplier's reference materials, components, final assembly, tooling, jigs and fixtures.
• Occasional travel to other suppliers, customers and partner sites globally
The Successful Mechanical Project Engineer Candidate:
• Mechanical, Mechatronic or Materials Engineering background
• Experience with product testing and validation
• Experience with 3D Modelling
• Able to problem solve complex systems
• Eye for safety considerations and a passion for driving a safety-first culture.
