Mechanical Small Works Manager

Mechanical Small Works Manager / Small Works Contracts Manager, required for our client, a Mechanical contractor specialist based in Hillingdon. The Small Works Manager / Contracts Manager will be responsible for providing cost pricing on mechanical (predominatley commercial heating / plant rooms) fit out's / installations and reactive works, ranging from domestic installations at £1k, to small commercial installations up to £300k, in commercial sites, such as schools, local authority buildings and retail sites.

The candidate would also be responsible for following up any initial enquiries, overseeing the projects through to completion (including procurement of materials, labour etc) and handover. The Small Works Manager would be required to split their time between the office in Hillingdon and visiting clients / sites in the surrounding local areas.

Ideally, the client is looking for a candidate with technical knowledge in the mechanical industry, e.g commercial heating or air conditioning. The candidate will have experience over seeing reactive jobs as engineers and technical knowhow around a Plant Room.

Mechanical Small Works Manager Position Overview

• Preparing cost pricing and estimates for new mechanical / HVAC projects/contracts
• Carry out any amendments or variations to existing projects / contracts
• Regular contact with customers to keep them updated
• Overseeing new projects through to completion.
• Working from the office in in Hillingdon, with site visits to survey new projects

Mechanical Small Works Manager Position Requirements

• Technical background, within the HVAC industry
• Experience in as an Engineers with over 10 years plant room knowledge
• Based within commutable distance of Hillingdon
• Previously held ACS (or currently hold) commercial gas qualifications

Mechanical Small Works Manager Position Remuneration

• £55,000 - £60,000 basic salary, depending on experience
• Car Allowance or company car
• Bonus scheme
