We are looking on behalf of our client for a Mechanical Site Supervisor to work on a new build extension of an industrial unit/factory in Southall.
Suitable candidates will ideally have the following:
- Recognised qualification/ time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical Trade
- Experience within a similar role within a Building Services environment (Previous experience within a manufacturing/food manufacturing or process plant would be an advantage)
- A demonstrated ability to understand Engineering drawings including 3D and 2D models and drawings
- Demonstrated knowledge in installation of SVP, LTHW, DHCWS pipework, welded and press-fit as well as competency and knowledge of all pipe and ductwork installations
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and implementation of all Health and Safety and Quality Procedures including all RAMS
- Demonstrated ability to drive a project forward with high standards, organising man power and materials to ensure a high quality installation on time and within budget
- CSCS Card
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Any additional qualifications such as First Aid, PASMA, IPAF would be an advantage
- Any additional mechanical experience or knowledge would be an advantage
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Day to day management of site sub-contractors
- Assisting in the planning, design and delivery of installation works and programmes
- Ensuring a safe working environment including toolbox talks and daily checks
- Ensuring a supportive environment exists for all on site
The scope of works include (but are not limited to):
- Domestic water piped services
- Heating piped services
- Above ground drainage
- Local ventilation systems (AHU/Fan Coil Units etc.)
- VRF/DX cooling circuits
- BMS systems
- Insulation
- Installation of associated plant (AHU's, Pumps etc..)
Hours of work are expected to be between 07:30 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday and 07:30 - 15:00 on Fridays, with 45 hours per week being paid. The project is expected to last a minimum of 12 weeks, and although temporary to start with, the position could be made permanent if both parties were agreeable.
The rate will be negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
