The role
As a Mechanical Technician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll undertake crucial installation, commissioning and maintenance work activities, in accordance with your training.
Day to day, you'll participate in the planning and preparation of work activities.
- Safely carry out work in accordance with the relevant Safe Systems of Work using recognised best practice, applicable trade and Company standards.
- Carry out Point of Work Risk Assessments and Behavioural Safety Observations.
- Comply with all Company and Customer procedures, site rules and instructions
- Undertake work so that it complies with the technical and quality requirements of the Safe System of Work.
This is a full-time role with 37 hours per week, based on site in Dunbar, East Lothian. The successful candidate occasionally may have to travel to Hartlepool, Durham.
Essential experience of the Mechanical Technician:
- Electrical/EC&I Technicians IET Regulations Training (latest current edition) (e.g. C&G 2382 / BS7671)
- Demonstrable experience covering a wide range of engineering topics.
Qualifications for the Mechanical Technician:
- Academic Requirements NVQ Level 3 / SVQ Level 3 or recognised apprenticeship training.
- CCNSG Safety Passport
The successful candidate must be able to achieve CTC security clearance for this role.
