Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a global water technology provider to recruit a Mechanical Workshop Engineer in the Axminister area, to join the team in the servicing and repairing of mechanical equipment. The role will be based in the Axminster workshop.
The ideal candidate will hold strong mechanical knowledge with solid hands on experience of carrying out repairs to industrial equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes or similarly heavy equipment. However, there are opportunities for training and development here, so long as you have a strong mechanical knowledge you can be considered.
The Mechanical Workshop Engineer will be responsible for fixing mechanical elements such as pumps and motors. Other equipment will be required but pumps will be a large part of this role. The ability to strip a piece of equipment and take it apart is desirable.
A large section of the work that comes in will be from the water industry, however the company we are recruiting for are involved in other areas such as schools and hospitals where large pumps and equipment are in use.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading company within its field and be a part of a team of likeminded individuals who gain satisfaction in the completion of projects.
