Salary Our client, a key player in the defence sector, is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical/Electrical Engineer (Building Services) to join their team in Preston for a 12-month contract. This is a Hybrid role requiring 2-3 days in the office per week. As part of the Shared Services Business Unit, you will be integral to the successful delivery of high-standard engineering projects within the defence and security industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing, developing, and implementing mechanical and electrical systems for building services
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met efficiently
Conducting assessments and validations of systems to ensure they adhere to industry standards
Overseeing the installation and testing of Mechanical/Electrical equipment on-site
Providing technical support and guidance to the project teams throughout the project lifecycle
Creating detailed technical reports and documentation
Ensuring all engineering activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
Job Requirements:
Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, specifically within building services
Proficiency in engineering design software and tools
Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
BPSS security clearance or the willingness to obtain it
