What is the role?
The role of Mechanical/Hydraulic Technician (ROV Tooling) has primary responsibility for the maintenance, repair & servicing of a wide range of ROV Intervention Tooling, predominantly working within a team in our Tullos Warehouse facility to prepare equipment for mobilisation.
What will your responsibilities involve?
- Participate in the planned maintenance of ROV Tooling systems and associated equipment
- Ensures equipment is maintained and in compliance with all technical and project requirements
- Uses logical fault-finding techniques during breakdown situations
- Assists in the identification and ordering of suitable spare parts to ensure they are available when required
- Interface with other workshop disciplines as and when required
- Compiles and maintains technical records, reports and logs using the workshop request system & SAP
- Provision of technical information to administration team to enable SAP equipment reports to be updated
- Maintain and promote a safe working environment within the department and the company
- Ensure Mechanical / Hydraulic Team Lead is updated on all aspects of assigned jobs
- May be required to perform any other necessary duties within their experience and capabilities
What are we looking for?
- Full Mechanical Apprenticeship
- Studying towards HNC qualification (Desirable)
- Hydraulic level I and/or II certification (Desirable)
- Previous ROV/Tooling Intervention workshop or offshore experience advantageous
- Good level of Mechanical/Hydraulic knowledge on a wide range of ROV Tooling
- IT literate and proficient in Microsoft software applications
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.
- Pro-active with a solutions-based approach
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and ownership, while contributing to team activities.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the evolving needs of a 24/7 global business.
- Ensures adherence to HSEQ, Company and legislative requirements.
