The Company - Medical Account Manager, Biomedical Systems

The Role – Medical Account Manager, Biomedical Systems

Following expansion within their Biomedical Systems business unit, they now seek to recruit a commercially astute Medical Account Manager. Working from home, the successful applicant will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and growing existing accounts, ultimately looking to exceed area sales and gross profit targets agreed within the biomedical equipment business. You will look to extend the customer base, participate in relevant exhibitions and local events, assist in training team members, analyse competitor activity, organise territory product presentations and take responsibility for the dealer and distribution network.

Commercial Management

Proactively find all opportunities in region and create customer compelling events and commercial solutions to close projects and drive growth, meeting customer & company requirements.

Ownership of sales OP – achieve annual & quarterly sales & product mix OP & qualitative objectives (market share gains etc.)

Develop, implement & manage strategic & tactical plans for the territory & individual accounts to drive customer satisfaction and orders & sales growth.

Maintain/grow target accounts with penetration strategy for competitor IB.

Ownership of complete sales process, lead generation to revenue recognition. To include complete tender management (quotations, executive summaries)

Account Management

Build long-term strategic alliances with accounts to protect against competitive threats and continue to add value across the product range.

Develop and maintain both new and existing accounts within the territory.

Develop strong relationships & customer intimacy with all key stakeholders

Generate records and maintain Customer profiles, including Major Project Planning, comprehensive IB profiles.

Market & Product Management

Understand customer needs and competitor offerings and position company solutions to maximum effect

Understand macro & micro environment and impact on the business

Develop Market understanding & share analysis to develop strategy

Business Rigor

Champion and drive business rigor to include the complete ownership & accountability for territory administration.

Ensure full compliance with all operating, forecasting and reporting processes & rigor (own the Zone). Including funnel management and tender / quote submissions. (SFDC/Tracker/OPSI/Forecast/Funnel).

Update & follow-up prospect system, orders & sales forecasts, provide market share win/lost information in line with op mechs.

Willingness and ability to travel within your specified geographic region as required.

Relationship Management

Establish and maintain strong relationships with all key customer stakeholders (Procurement, Clinical & Technical).

Establish executive relationships (Director & Directorate level)…..

Establish strong relationships & work closely with other Teams to ensure customer intimacy & sales opportunities are maximized.

Your Background – Medical Account Manager, Biomedical Systems

To succeed in this excellent role, you must be able to demonstrate a background selling medical capital equipment or accessory / consumable sales. Experience of selling Critical Care, Patient Monitoring, Anaesthesia, or related networking & healthcare IT products will be an advantage, as would experience selling into ITU, ICU, CCU or operating theatre environments.

This is a home based role covering an area including Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and parts of South Wales.
