This exclusive opportunity is based close to Wolverhampton, where we are seeking a Medical Director, the full-time role comes with an attractive salary of 165k and generous company benefits.
You will also be the Consultant Psychiatrist on the 12-bed male PICU. The service will have a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and will support the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment.
In your first few weeks in this Medical Director role, you can expect to:
- Lead on all aspects of clinical practice and serve as an example of operational excellence
- Ensure optimal clinical outcomes
- Provide expert knowledge and support within the service and to the wider team
- Ensure quality and compliance with internal and external standards and regulations
- Work with colleagues to provide integrated, whole person treatment and care.
The role will suit someone who is fully GMC registered with a relevant medical qualification. You must be an accomplished leader and clinician with excellent line management and communication skills. You will also need to be experienced within a mental health setting and a multidisciplinary team. In addition, you must be skilled in all aspects of clinical governance and expertise in medical appraisals, clinical supervision, case investigation and case management.
