We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our team for 30 hours per week over 5 days, between 8am-6pm Mon- Fri. We are a friendly, 6 partner, GP training practice in Ayr with approximately 8000 patients.
We are looking for a well-organised, highly motivated individual to support our existing team in providing a first-class service to our patients.
The main function of this role will be to aid the smooth running of the reception and duties will include:
-Dealing with patients at reception and by phone
-Processing prescriptions and mail
-Booking appointments
-‘Signposting’ to appropriate services
-Other administrative duties following in-house training
The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and IT skills. They will need to be flexible, able to work in a fast paced environment, use their own initiative and work as part of a busy team.
Previous experience of working within primary care is preferred and experience using EMIS and DOCMAN clinical systems is advantageous.
