Medical Records Supervisor/Medical Legal Officer, Band 5

To assist in providing an efficient and quality service for the Medical Records Library/Clinical Preparation Area, with supervisory responsibility. This will include the use of multiple PAS systems, Patient Centre and on line system for offsite storage providers. The appointee will also be responsible for maintaining Health Records Departmental standards at all times. The post holder will also be responsible to the Business Support Officer / Senior Manager Medical Records /Health & Social Care Records for supporting projects to modernise the Medical Records / Medical Legal Services within RJMH. The post holder will assist the Senior Medical Legal Manager in the handling of Access to Records requests under the legislative requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018, General Data Protection Regulation, Access to Health Records (Northern Ireland) Order 1993 and other relevant legislation. The post holder will be required to deputise for the Records Manager to ensure a continued safe and efficient service delivery..
