Job Title: Medical Secretary
Trust: South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Location: The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, TS4 3BW
Pay Rates: £12.45 per hour
Shift Patterns: 3 days a week (22.5 hours)
As a Medical secretary, you'll usually work for a senior member of staff or group of staff. You'll support the work of a department by taking on administrative and secretarial tasks.
You'll find solutions to everyday problems, such as:
- Receiving, recording, sorting and distributing any form of communication and take appropriate action including escalation where appropriate.
- Meet and greet visitors / patients to the Trust.
- Order and receive stocks and stores.
- Standard keyboard skills.
- Transcription and or proof reading of clinics and other letters of a sensitive and confidential nature ensuring copy letters to other health care professionals / services are sent.
What you'll need:
- Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
- Good communicator wo can follow instructions
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous NHS experience
- Previous administrative experience
- NHS System Knowledge- E-Camis (desirable)
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
