Job Title: Medical Workforce Manager

Location: Unipart House, Cowley, Marston, OX4 2PG

Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Pay: £23.52 per hour

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead, train and support the Medical Workforce team.
  • Ensure all directorates in the Trust have the provision of expert advice from medical staffing advisors/recruitment assistants on all Medical Workforce issues relating to policies and procedures.
  • Obtain regular feedback from stakeholders and review services and processes as part of a strategic improvement plan.
  • Regularly update the Medical Workforce team with employment law changes, providing training and support to staff working the medical staffing team to streamline processes, maintain quality and consistency to meet the Trust's KPI's.
  • Deliver a systematic and annualised training programme for team members, identifying any gaps in skills and knowledge, working with them to resolve these through coaching and/or training.
  • Oversee quality control of employee records to ensure all pre-employment checks are undertaken as described in NHS Employment Checks standards.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • NHS Medical Workforce experience (essential)
  • Expert knowledge of the Medical Staffing systems including TRAC, ESR (Electronic Staff Record), inter-authority transfers (IAT's), Trainee Information System (TIS), Doctors Rostering System (DRS4), SARD and Docusign to name a few.
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent work experience
  • Postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • Member of CIPD
  • Previous experience of managing conflict.
  • Previous experience of providing complex specialist employment advice.
  • Advanced knowledge of electronic systems
  • Previous experience of writing structured reports and procedures
  • Significant experience of dealing with a variety of customers both internal and external to the organisation.

This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience.
