dna Communications is an integrated medical/healthcare communications agency with two primary divisions; medical education and public relations. Part of the IPG DXTRA Healthcare ecosystem, the dna Communications Medical Education team offers clients high-level insights into the ever-changing commercial landscape through strategic, medical educational, behavioural change and engagement programmes.

What is the role?
Our content team is the strongest it has ever been and we'd love for it to keep growing! Our Medical Writers have a key role in content development and will use their industry knowledge and scientific expertise to support over several accounts.
This role will support across a range of medical affairs project types, including meeting materials and slide decks, in global accounts covering oncology, rare diseases and dermatology.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and developing medical education copy across a range of outputs including training decks, speaker decks for symposia, meetings or advisory boards, congress posters, website content, manuscripts, and abstracts.
- Liaising directly with the client directly on scientific and content matters.
- Reviewing work of other writers.
- Working closely with the Client Experience team to ensure budgets and timelines are adhered to.
- Keeping up to date with key developments in therapy areas and regulations.
Who are you?
- Already working as a Medical Writer or strong Associate/Junior MW on a range of medical education outputs.
- 1+ years in medical education/communications writing.
- 1+ years in a medical education/communications agency.
- Scientific or medical degree (ideally MSc/PhD).
- Strong knowledge of the drug development process.
- Strong knowledge of the ABPI code.
- Proven experience writing for advisory boards, SCPs, symposia, training decks, manuscripts and abstracts.
- Critical and strategic thinking skills.
- Team player.
- Time management
Experience would be ideal in:
- Therapy areas including oncology, rare diseases and dermatology
- Publications writing - manuscripts, abstracts, posters

We would be looking for someone who could work on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week in the office.
