Job description

The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive, professional administrative service within the Centre for Medical Education, specifically in relation to medical Student Recruitment and Careers. The role will support a range of key operational activities, supporting the Centre’s Admissions and Careers Leads, with the overall purpose of enhancing the prospective student/applicant journey and student experience.

The postholder will work closely with colleagues in the Centre and in the wider School, Faculty, Admissions & Access and Careers, Employability and Skills Teams in the organisation of and contribution to a range of activities.

About The Person:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

EITHER

  • Relevant academic/vocational qualifications (e.g. A-Levels, NVQ 3 or equivalent) plus 4 years’ relevant work experience to include:
    • Use of management information systems for student administration, registration, maintenance of accurate records and for generation of reports
    • Event management experience
    • Experience of servicing meetings, to include taking and drafting minutes, preparing reports Experience of dealing with email and internet.

OR

  • More than 5 years’ relevant work experience to include:
    • Use of management information systems for student administration, registration, maintenance of accurate records and for generation of reports
    • Event management experience
    • Experience of servicing meetings, to include taking and drafting minutes, preparing reports Experience of dealing with email and internet.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
