Woodrow Mercer Healthcare are working with an NHS organisation to source a Medicines Management Pharmacist on an interim basis.
Job Description
This position is on behalf of a midlands-based organisation that work closely with the NHS. This position is on an interim basis for 3 months initially and with a view to extend afterwards as well requiring people to be between a band 8a/b scale. This role involves travelling 2/3 times per week and is offering a daily rate of around £340 as well as falling inside IR35.
This position requires someone to start ASAP so I would be happy to discuss availability and notice periods with people.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate handling of medicines across the organisation and system.
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulatory medicines handling requirements, utilizing complex knowledge of Medicines Management.
- Lead on Medicines Management optimization agenda for the organisation, promoting safe, effective and legal medicines use and handling at all levels of the organisation.
- To be the lead medicines professional within Quality and Safety team, ensuring the delivery of core medicines governance work in terms of medicines safety, incidents/risk, audits, policies/SOP's, documentation and advice.
- To manage the Medicines Management team workload and pharmacy technician led activities.
