Memorial Administrator
Location: Reading, UK

A. B. Walker, a family-owned funeral directors, is seeking a Memorial Administrator to join our team at our Reading office. As a Memorial Administrator, you will work alongside our existing team member to manage the day-to-day operations of our busy Memorial Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submitting permit requests to churchyards and cemeteries
- Creating and following up on quotations issued to new and existing clients
- Processing memorial instructions to the stone masons
- Assisting with day-to-day enquiries within the Memorial Department and resolving client queries in collaboration with the Memorial Supervisor
- Receiving and executing instructions from funeral administrators regarding the removal of memorials for burials
- Your responsibilities may expand as the role progresses.
Required Skills:
- Ability to complete tasks to a high standard and understand key aspects of the memorial role and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Proficiency in standard office procedures and computer usage
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows. Training will be given on our in-house funeral software
About You:
- Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
- Strong attention to detail and a confident, yet unobtrusive manner
- Experience in a sales environment would be advantageous
- Exhibit good written and verbal communication skills
- Must hold a full, clean driving licence
Salary and benefits:
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm
- Six month probationary period
- Salary: From £24,000 plus benefits
