About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, qualified Social Worker with the relevant skills and experience to join our workforce as the Team Manger for our Huntingdon and Fenland area. This is a full time, permanent role. We are Mental Health Social Work (MHSW) and cover the Peterborough and Cambridgeshire areas. You will be leading a team of Social Workers, Senior Social Workers and a Support Worker to deliver an effective (statutory) Adults Mental Health Social Care service for people who need the support and are ordinarily resident in the area. You will work alongside other Team Managers who covers other areas. You must be AMHP qualified, or willing gain this qualification - you will be supported with this.

What will you be doing?

•    To manage the delivery of a high quality and effective Integrated specialist health and Social Work services to respond to the needs of service users and their families in a timely manner within statutory guidelines or service specifications.  
•    Work with local partners to ensure the management and delivery of the Mental Health Social Work provision. 
•    Manage individual team staffing budget.
•    Manage a devolved budget for funded packages of care, as required and ensure that systems for delegated financial authority are followed.
•    Carry out the duties of a registered AMHP manager, contributing to the AMHP duty system as agreed.
•    Ensure that duties and obligations under the Care Act are followed and are compliant with CCC/CPFT standards for recording of case notes including monitoring and implementation of the information sharing agreement.
•    Ensure CCC/CPFT mandatory training requirements are complied with.
•    To take lead responsibility for professional supervision of Senior Social Workers and Social Workers within team and ensure appropriate recording.

You must:

  • Be a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration or equivalent health qualification
  • Have proven knowledge and understanding of relevant Social Care and Health policy and practice in relation to the provision of services.
  • Have the ability to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently
