A brilliant school in Thatcham have an opportunity for a Mental Health Support Worker to join their staff in providing high quality, continuous support to their students. The school cater to students who have Complex Learning Disabilities as well as significant Mental, Social and Emotional Needs and would love to welcome a Mental Health Support Worker. The successful candidate will work on both 1-1 basis with students and in small groups who would benefit from extra concentrated support throughout the school day. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children who have display challenging behaviour and have Mental Health difficulties, meaning there is room for you to gain an extended understanding of how to communicate, regulate and advocate for children in the SEN community.

The school are looking for a committed, confident and well-educated candidate to take on the role of Mental Health Support Worker and bring enthusiasm and empathy into the classroom. Ideally, the successful applicant will have excellent behaviour management skills, education surrounding Special Educational Needs and experience in either a professional or home environment. The Mental Health Support Worker will have the opportunity to gain professional experience working along qualified therapists, behaviour consultants and psychologists which could kick-start their entrance into the industry.
