Mental Healthcare Assistant

We are looking for an experienced MentalHealthcare Assistant to work within aspecialist eating disorder inpatient unit in Darlington, County Durham. The service provides individual care for adults with eating disorders, in a specially designed environment. This role is fully flexible allowing you to work around any commitments, promoting a healthy work life balance.
SPECIALISM: Eating Disorders
START DATE: Immediate/ASAP
SHIFT PATTERNS: Long Days 0720-2000, Nights 1920-0800
The Role:

• Provide direct care and support to patients with eating disorders, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Assisting qualified nursing staff where necessary.
• Offer empathetic listening and emotional support to patients.

The Person

• 12 months minimum experience working as a Mental Healthcare Assistant in a residential or inpatient setting, experience working with eating disorders is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others.
