Are you a compassionate and dedicated psychology graduate looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people? Axcis Education is seeking individuals like you to join our team as Mental Health Assistants in schools located in Rochdale. Overview: In this role, you will work closely with students who have diverse needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, challenging behavior, and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Your primary focus will be on providing vital support and assistance to these students within an educational setting. Responsibilities: Assist students with SEMH and ASC by providing tailored support and interventions to promote their social, emotional, and academic development. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create and implement individualized support plans for students. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported. Implement behavior management strategies and techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively. Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the relevant stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field. Prior experience working with young people who have SEMH or SEND is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Patience, empathy, and resilience in dealing with challenging situations. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment. Full-time availability from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
