SalaryApplications are invited for the post of Workshop Controller for our Car Workshop in Derby. This is a full-time position reporting to the Car After Sales Manager.
Your main objective will be to organise and oversee the daily running of the car workshop. You will be responsible for the supervision of a team of technicians, ensuring workflow through the workshop is done in an efficient and effective manner.
Your daily duties will include:
Receiving job cards from service reception, pre-time each job and allocate work to technicians with the aim of maximising sold hours and monitor the progress of jobs.
Quality control, ensuring warranty procedures are being adhered to, ensuring associated documentation is completed correctly and efficiently and ensure that all special tools and equipment are kept in good order.
Assisting technicians with complex diagnosis and liaising with Mercedes-Benz Technical Dept.

Skills:
· Relevant experience in the automotive industry, including previous workshop control or technician roles.
· Strong technical background.
· Full understanding of Standard Text Times and Warranty procedures
· High levels of organisation and accuracy
· Fantastic interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues.
