JOB TITLE: Merchandiser

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Working closely with the Director, the Merchandiser will oversee and manage the entire process of Fangfang Beauty's product range, from the approval of initial concepts to the final production of shelf-ready products.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Collaborate closely with manufacturers to ensure product pricing, details, and quality.
• Ensure compliance with new European cosmetic rules and regulations.
• Develop and adhere to shipping schedules.
• Manage an offsite warehouse in the UK.
• Prepare documents for VAT return & year-end report.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge and understanding of stock and order administrative computer systems.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Ensure compliance with new European cosmetic rules and regulations:
• Work closely with manufacturers and testing companies in the UK to ensure that packaging and product content adhere to the new European cosmetic rules and regulations.
• Post each product on the Cosmetic Portal before its receipt in the UK.
• Develop and adhere to shipping schedules:
• Specify detailed shipping schedules for each product, from receiving the product from manufacturers in our China warehouse to liaising with freight forwarders.
• Book the correct number of containers on time, ensuring they are loaded on schedule to meet sailing dates and optimize container space usage.
• Ensure timely booking of all freight, whether for direct consignment to customers or to our offsite contract warehouse in Manchester, UK.
• Manage an offsite warehouse in the UK:
• Oversee proper stock handling and conduct final quality checks before delivering products to customers.
• Control order picking processes and handle necessary paperwork for efficient operations.
• Possess full knowledge and understanding of a stock and order administrative computer system:
• Take charge of the company's software program, QuickBooks Premier, which integrates sales, stock, and purchase functions.
