Merchandiser

MERCHANDISER- LEADING MANUFACTURER & DISTRIBUTOR

An exciting opportunity to join our client, a well-established manufacturer and distributor who are well known for their quality products and excellent customer care along with being a great employer.

They now require a Merchandiser to manage the critical path from purchase order to delivery to the customer. This is a key role within the team and the successful candidate will aldo ensure the smooth and timely communication between all parties within the supply chain.

Responsibilities as a Merchandiser:

• Placing confirmed Sales Orders/Purchase Orders on the company's systems.
• Liaising with the internal customers to agree on delivery dates for new enquiries and negotiating dates where necessary.
• Keeping customers updated on progress of all ongoing orders.
• Liaising with the customers and attending customer meetings on and off-site as required.
• Liaising with the overseas suppliers or overseas offices and agreeing ship-dates and critical approval dates for any new orders.
• Liaising with overseas suppliers/offices and the internal technical teams to meet the customer's specific requirements, ensuring the factory has all the information/approvals needed to proceed.
• Working closely with the design team and account managers and tracking design amendments. Ensuring the sealing and approval of products being completed, within the required timescales.
• Working closely with the license team to ensure products are license approved within required timescales.
• Liaising with both the customers and factories in regard to delays and renegotiating delivery/ship dates.
• Liaising with shipping/distribution to ensure goods arrive and are processed and delivered on time.
• Ordering/co-ordinating the relevant packaging & labels for the Customers orders
• Provide assistance with project work assigned by the Merchandise Manager.

What you will need as a Merchandiser:

• A good knowledge of Excel and Word, especially Excel as updating spreadsheets accurately is a main part of this role.
• Must have experience of import merchandising and with dealing with high street customers.
• Computer literacy, numeracy & good organisational skills are essential.
