Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Merchandise Manager at SELF-PORTRAIT in London. The Merchandise Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks such as managing inventory, sales, and creating assortment plans.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and executing merchandising strategies to optimize product assortments and maximize sales and profitability

Conduct seasonal range planning to drive option optimization

Preparing annual and quarterly budgets, and presenting them to the relevant stakeholders.

Tracking inventory movement and ensure terminal stock has the appropriate liquidation

Identifying trends and monitoring supply and demand.

Collaborating with the commercial department to brainstorm new projects, and business ideas.

Interpreting sales reports and providing guidance on how to improve figures

Analysing market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to make informed decisions on product selection, pricing, and inventory management

Oversee global retail pricing across multi-currencies

Developing and managing merchandising budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to drive sales and meet financial targets

Conducting regular store visits and market research to evaluate product performance, identify opportunities, and address any potential issues

Support product presentation and visual merchandising to create compelling and attractive displays that enhance the overall shopping experience, particularly in off price boutiques

Monitoring competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead in the market and identify new opportunities for growth

Developing and implementing promotional strategies and campaigns to drive customer engagement and increase footfall and conversion online

Providing guidance and direction to the merchandising team, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven work environment

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product development, design, buying, ecommerce and sales, to align merchandising strategies with overall business objectives

 

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and retail background
  • Experience in sales and inventory management
  • Ability to create effective assortment plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the fashion industry
