SalaryMETAL WORKER for an immediate Permanent opportunity based in Telford.
Working as part of a dedicated team to manufacture equipment from detailed engineering drawings. Shaping and re-shaping metals to fabricate, assemble and repair using manual and automated tools.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting to Manufacturing Manager you will be:
- Preparing metal components for machine assembly and investment casting systems
- Working to and understanding measurements on concise engineering drawings
- Set up and operation of fabricating machines which may include; Press brake, guillotine, punch, saw and drills.
- Utilising fabrication machinery to bend, cut, punch, saw and drill metal work.
- Materials handling, loading and unloading.
- Working towards production timescales and adhering to the company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Having previous experience working with tools and using the machinery detailed above.
- A sound knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes.
- Some Welding skills would be advantageous but not essential.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- FLT qualification / experience desirable
- Crane operator qualification / experience desirable
- NVQ qualification / Apprentice trained desirable.
- Not essential as training can be given
