MEWP Operator with CSCS Card

Quest Employment are recruiting skilled MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform/Scissor Lifts) Operators with a valid CSCS card to join our Client’s Specialist Cleaning team in Brighton for a temporary 4 week contract.

Location: Brighton, BN1

Salary: £15.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary for four weeks (expected start date mid-July 2024)

Job Description: As a MEWP Operator,  you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of mobile elevated work platforms on various construction sites. Your primary responsibilities will include operating the equipment to lift cleaning operatives to high elevations, performing routine maintenance checks, and adhering to all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MEWP equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Help the cleaning operators onsite clean facades.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance of MEWP equipment.
• Follow all site safety procedures and regulations.
• Assist in the setup and dismantling of MEWP equipment.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Valid CSCS card (Essential).
• Proven experience as a MEWP Operator in a construction environment.
• Familiarity with various types of MEWP equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work at heights comfortably.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.

Desirable:

• Additional certifications related to MEWP operation.
• First aid certification.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the industrial cleaning industry.
