The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join our team, specializing in teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality MFL lessons, inspiring a love for languages, and fostering an environment where students can thrive. You will be teaching French, Spanish, or German (or a combination of these) to students aged 11-14.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective MFL lessons to KS3 students.
- Assess, record, and report on the progress and development of students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, promoting their well-being and personal growth.
- Engage with parents and carers to discuss students’ progress and address any concerns.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school-wide activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching MFL at the secondary school level, preferably KS3.
- Strong subject knowledge in one or more modern foreign languages (French, Spanish, German).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. (Or willing to obtain one)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
