Antenatal Clinic is a great learning environment to increase knowledge of how complexities affect a pregnancy and how care is planned to improve outcomes. We need Midwives who are passionate about Antenatal care, are motivated, dynamic, with a keen eye for detail & want to help us develop and improve the service we offer. Midwives in the Antenatal Clinics undertake varied roles. These include: - Coordinating the running of Antenatal Clinics.
- Providing antenatal care and midwifery advice - Working in the Maternity Assessment Centre, providing unscheduled care. - Liaising with other teams including Diabetes, Anaesthetics and Fetal Medicine, to plan care. Communicating & supporting ladies and their families, potentially in emotional circumstances and with difficult decision making - Undertaking Carbon Monoxide Screening and providing smoking cessation advice. - Administering Flu vaccination - Supervising a team of Maternity Care Assistants and supporting them in their roles.
