You'll be working British Gypsum in Brightling mine East Sussex. British Gypsum is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and the is the UK's leading manufacturer of interior lining systems.
What you'll do:
- Respond to break down situations of the production machines on the district that are working
- Assist and carry out the installation and maintenance of out bye services and rock handling equipment installation/move ups to efficiently support production operations
- Assist and carry out the installation of district services
- Assist and carry out the installation of District mechanical and ventilation schemes in accordance with Mine plan
- Assist and carry out the planning and preparation of mine maintenance to minimise downtime
- Be required to complete end of shift reporting to the company standard
What we're looking for:
- Experience in the maintenance of heavy plant equipment and production machinery (ideally in a mining or quarry setting)
- Experience of hydraulic systems and associated Permits to Work
- A recognised mechanical apprenticeship (Minimum requirement Level 3)
- Knowledge of Risk assessment process and also able to carry out dynamic on the job risk assessments
- Knowledge of LOTO systems
- Willingness to work a staggered shift pattern that includes nights
