A part time, experienced PCV / PSV Minibus Driver is required for school transport runs on a part time, permanent basis. As a Minibus Driver you would work Monday to Friday for morning and afternoon school runs and have the opportunity for additional hours. This is a zero hours contract up to 25 hours a week. The routes will be across Telford & Shropshire.
This busy and rewarding part time role, requires someone who is great at customer service, and is a confident qualified PCV / PSV driver.
The role :
- Responsible for driving an agreed daily route with passengers ensuring a timely service for school transport runs
- Additional hours may be offered including school trips
- Ensure daily routes are practical and cost effective, seeking prior agreement to any route changes.
- Provide daily visual checks and basic maintenance for the vehicles
- Adhere to the Rules and Regulations of the Highway Code.
- Liaise with the Passenger Assistant(s), as appropriate to ensure safety procedures are adhered to throughout the journey.
- Assist pupils on and off the vehicle, where required
- Remain up to date on PCV licencing conditions
We require:
- A valid PCV Licence Category D or D1 for Hire & Reward (without a 101-restriction code) for 16-seater vehicles.
- A valid Driver Qualification Card to prove completion of driver CPC training.
