Job Title: Minister of Religion - Sunday School Pastor

Job Description:

We are a Pentecostal Christian church in West London, The Kingsborough Centre.

We're thrilled to announce an available position for a Minister of Religion. We seek an individual who's enthusiastic about sharing God's love, has a passion for ministry, and has excellent communication and leadership abilities. Integration with the local community and the church congregation will be a huge part of succeeding in this role.

Main Duties:

• Support the Senior Pastor in leading and overseeing the church's spiritual growth and development.
• Preparing and leading sermons to the congregation.
• Conducting and assisting in planning and worship services, prayer meetings, and other church gatherings.
• Delivery in leading marriages, funerals, baptisms, and other special religious rites;
• Engage in pastoral care and counselling for members of the congregation, providing guidance and support in times of need.
• Collaborate with various church ministries to enhance their effectiveness and impact on the community.
• Help in the organisation and implementation of community outreach programmes and evangelism efforts.
• Contribute to developing discipleship programmes to nurture spiritual growth among church members.
• Participate in minister meetings and work closely with other church leaders to achieve the church's vision and mission.

Responsibilities:

• Meet regularly with the senior pastor and staff to evaluate the work of the Sunday School and set agenda for Sunday School Planning Team Meetings.
• Communicate goals and actions to leaders and participants and evaluate progress.
• Lead in developing an effective Christlike organisation.
• Lead in efforts to call participants into service and in enlisting and developing new leaders.
• Lead in evaluating needs related to space, budget, bible study curriculum, supplies, and other resources; recommend needed actions.
• Set a positive example for others by living as an authentic witness of Christ and through full involvement in the life and ministry of the church.
• Undertake administration and social duties as required.
• Provides pastoral care to members of the congregation in their homes and in hospitals and counsels those in need of spiritual or moral guidance.
• Dedication to charity work.
• Evangelist activities

Qualifications:

• A genuine relationship with Jesus Christ and a solid commitment to the Christian faith.
• Passion for serving the local community and engaging in outreach efforts.
• Previous experience in pastoral or ministry roles is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a willingness to work collaboratively with the church leadership team.
• Ability to handle sensitive pastoral situations with empathy, confidentiality, and wisdom.
• A deep understanding of Scripture and the ability to effectively teach and apply biblical principles.
