MIS (Compliance), Engagement & Careers Officer

Job location: Bristol

Reports to: Quality & Curriculum Manager

Working Hours: 37.5 per week

Purpose of job

To implement and maintain data and information systems to meet the needs of the organisation. Understanding the compliancy requirements of their funding bodies and working to ensure that all data and information is compliant, and reports are produced in a timely manner. In addition, working to engage and inform communities of the organisation s offer, as well as provide all learners appropriate careers guidance to ensure the appropriateness of the provision they will be completed, in-training guidance to include pastoral care and support their health, wellbeing and personal situation to ensure retention and achievement rates are not negatively impacted.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inputting data onto MIS including updating tables for locations, operators etc.
  • Monitoring and checking quality of data input by others to include Salesforce.
  • Complete monthly ILR returns.
  • Ensuring completion and achievement data is entered in a timely manner and meets the requirements of funder and the DFE.
  • Monitoring data for accuracy of qualification aims ensuring codes are up to date for funding.
  • Providing support for all staff to ensure compliance through assisting in the production of training manuals for MIS.
  • Running reports from the MIS and converting into Excel spread sheets.
  • Monitoring numbers against the targets and monitoring cancellation rates.
  • Providing data from MIS for marketing purposes.
  • Working with managers to provide high quality data reports following agreed processes.
  • Implementing the process for uploading Course Information Sheets onto MIS and the website.
  • Obtaining ULNs for students and using the Learner Record Service website.
  • Assisting with data cleansing for the submission of error-free returns to funding agencies and other external bodies.
  • Support less experienced members of the MIS Team to carry out their duties when required, and to support their training needs.
  • Engage with communities and stakeholders to ensure recruitment to courses.

Other Duties:

  • Provide careers advice and guidance and ensure progressions for clients at the start, during and on completion of learning in line with contract requirement.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to learners as required.
  • Working and supportively and in collaboration with the Line Manager and wider team.
  • Excel in meeting all targets set by the Line Manager. Top of Form
