The Role
As a Mobile Architect, your primary role will involve working alongside the pre-established team to develop a new Mobile App. You will take a crucial role in the decision-making process for the implementation and design of the Mobile App. Liaising with key stakeholders within the business in a technical and non-technical manner, whilst also assisting other developers in developing the code base.

The Role

What you will be doing:
- Spearhead the formulation of a robust Design Team setting the gold standard in crafting mobile solutions.
- Continuously enhance internal standards by staying abreast of best practices and emerging technologies, adapting approaches as needed.
- Define and enforce a predictable update cadence across utilised technologies.
- Lead and mentor a team of mobile engineers, ensuring adherence to defined standards.
- Validate high-level design decisions, guaranteeing alignment with established principles, either directly or through collaboration with the architecture team.
- Institute and uphold quality gates for teams, ensuring a baseline design and implementation standard is met while addressing technical debt.
- Develop and maintain essential tooling and foundational components for mobile engineering teams, fostering compliance with design and implementation standards.

- Technical prowess in multiple languages (Swift, Java/Kotlin, JavaScript, Objective-C), adaptable to new tools.
- Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals and modern design patterns.
- Specialized in security, compliance, and authentication (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
- Cloud technology proficiency, particularly AWS, for building scalable systems.
- Strategic thinker, making pragmatic trade-offs, anticipating architectural changes, and prioritizing effectively.
