SalaryA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic experienced QA Engineer to join this growing team, based in Newcastle city centre. This is an important role for the company as we have to ensure that we provide outstanding quality products to the thousands of customers who use them every day. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on Web testing experience and mobile native and webapps for both iOS and Android, including integration and acceptance testing.
The Role
This role is all about being a top-notch QA engineer who thrives in collaboration. You'll work alongside the scrum team to define acceptance criteria, craft effective test cases, and ensure top-quality deliverables. You'll be a master of estimating testing tasks, keeping things on track and avoiding last-minute surprises.
You'll be adept at logging, prioritizing, and retesting issues until they're history. You'll need to think critically from the user's perspective, recommending improvements to enhance the user experience.
Working in conjunction with developers to streamline the development process, increasing efficiency across the development and deployment process.
The Candidate
Candidates will need;
- Hands on testing with Web and Mobile Apps
- ISTQB Foundation or above qualified
- Familiar with test managements tools such as Redmine and Jira
- Familiar with tools such as Cucumber, Specflow and Postman for automation
- Understanding of Jmeter or similar for performance & Load Testing
- Proficient in BDD and an understanding of TDD
This role will require you to be based in the office 1 day per week and so candidates should live locally to Newcastle. The client are unable to sponsor you will need the right to work in the UK, ideally for 2+ years.
The role comes with a salary of up to £45,000.
