Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Engineers familiar with Pump & treatment systems to work as a Mobile Engineer carrying out mechanical installation for customers across the UK.

Our client can offer door to door pay, overtime (x1.3) paid over 40 hours per week and minimal weekend working to Engineers interested in the opportunity.

Role Profile

- Undertaking the mechanical installation of water & sewage treatment equipment on various sites throughout the UK (which can require significant time working away from home)
- Maintenance and servicing of ejector and pumping stations at MOD sites, schools, local authorities and hospitality and industrial sectors
- Mechanical fault finding and helping to provide practical solutions
- On site responsibility for Health & Safety ensuring work carried out & always complies with the Company's Health and Safety Procedures and in line with Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- To ensure that all areas in which work is undertaken are kept in a clean and tidy condition, to ensure minimum disruption to the other people on site and a safe working environment.
- On site liaison with clients to ensure the smooth running of jobs and keeping to the programme of works
- Day to day responsibility for installing different schemes and supervising other engineers.
- Driving of company vehicles including delivery / collections of parts when required.
- Occasional work within the IQE workshop as required.
- Accurate completion of timesheets and report sheets with relevant information following job completion
- To attend courses and toolbox talks where required.
- To provide instruction and to coach/mentor and guide other IQ Engineers personnel on maintenance and technical aspects of plant and equipment.
- Working with sewage & clean water
- Working in confined spaces and at Height
- Attend occasional emergency breakdowns of plant out of hours.
- Significant time working away from home, weekend working is occasional and only by agreement.

Desired Profile

- Experience carrying out installation, service or repair of pumps or associated machinery (3+ years).
- Be capable of carrying out physically heavy work.
- Be able to follow verbal and written instructions and to write clear and concise reports of work completed or incidents occurred.
- Have mechanical knowledge and practical experience and ability to read technical drawings.
- Be able to use hand and power tools confidently.
- Be able to delegate / supervise work tasks by others.
- Have a working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation particularly within construction/manufacture.
- Have the flexibility to work varied hours and away from home as and when required.
- Must possess a CSCS or industry equivalent card (or willing to get one)
- Must be a good communicator with both customers and colleagues.
- Must hold a Full UK Driving licence (any endorsements must be disclosed)
- Must be able to go through an enhanced DBS / security checks for working on school and MOD sites.
- Must have basic electrical knowledge (or willing to develop)
- Must hold Confined space City & Guilds training (or willing to train) and be capable of working in an enclosed space e.g. chamber below ground accessed through manhole.
- Hold Full First aid at work qualification (or willing to train)
