Role
To deliver excellent engineering services as a Mobile Building Services Engineer, covering both planned maintenance and reactive tasks for the South of England, including inner London.
To be considered for the role you must come from a Building Service background and hold a formal Building services qualification such as a NVQ/BTEC/C&G or equivalent and that contains an element of Electrical competence.
Location and Hours
The role is field based in the South of England.
The role is 8:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, however you will be required to take part of the 24/7 Callout Service we provide to our clients.
Salary
Up to 45,000 per annum depending on experience and qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Minor Electrical: Installation, repair & fault finding.
- Plumbing: Installation, repair & fault finding.
- Planned maintenance and operational tasks, such as:
- Emergency lighting functional and duration testing.
- Fire alarm & associated equipment testing.
- Wet riser and Fire suppression testing.
- Generator testing.
- Water hygiene & temperature monitoring.
- General Plant checks; HVAC equipment.
- Material selection: Installation, repair replacement and ordering
- On site record keeping and updating.
- Ad-hoc tasks
- The role requires participation in the 24/7 out of hours callout service and rota.
Essential Qualities
- A formal Building Services qualification (electrical, mechanical, plumbing or A/C) that includes an electrical competence.
- Knowledge of Building Services and Compliance related regulations and requirements.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Ability to pass an enhanced CRB/DBS check.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under own initiative.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Desirable Qualities
- IEE 17th/18th Regulations
- Broad knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
- Experience of CAFM generated PDA Job Allocation and Completion.
