The Job:
On our clients behalf we are seeking a Senior Network Engineer. This role will be to develop their data-centre infrastructure. This role would suit a collaborative individual willing to lead network operations and support innovation and integration. They are seeking someone who has is able to demonstrate well-developed technical and team-working skills relevant to data-centre networking, Linux, security and organisation. In this role you will become expert in a wide range of 5G mobile network core technologies deployed in-house and their interfaces with their partners and customers for data, call, configuration and billing interactions. As part of a small team, you will implement the unique technical and operational features. As a young company it’s essential you are happy to work as a team to ensure things are completed on time and correctly and on budget. You will have the opportunity to shape its future direction but also face the challenges of early growth.
Responsibilities will include:
Deployment and management of their owned infrastructure within data centres
Overall management of their central infrastructure of switches, gateways, Linux-based compute platforms and interconnect including monitoring systems, change-management, access and record-keeping
Availability (up-time) of services delivering revenue
Networking and platform support for development activities and control of staging and transfer of new services into operation
Implementation and operation of security processes developed in conjunction with their security authority.
The Person
For this role our client is seeking someone with has gained experience as a Network Engineer. You will be able to demonstrate well-developed technical and team-working skills relevant to data-centre networking, Linux, security and organisation. Our client is seeking someone who has experience and knowledge of central infrastructure of switches, gateways, Linux-based compute platforms and interconnect including monitoring systems, change-management, access and record-keeping.
The Hours:
9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
