An exciting opportunity has arisen at Facilities Management, Stirling Council for a Cleaning Assistant to work within our Mobile Cleaning Task Team. The post will involve providing a 24 hours per week professional cleaning service on a 39 week term time basis, working Monday ,Tuesday,Thursday,Friday between the hours of 3 to 9pm and paid at Stirling Council Grade 3. You will work within the Cleaning Task Team to support schools, nurseries and office locations throughout the Stirling Council area where back-fill cleaning services are required due to absence or cleaning staff require additional support.Requirements
Applicants should be capable of lifting heavy items, using cleaning machinery including electric buffing machines, scrubber dryers and vacuum cleaners. Be able to clean surfaces to head height and prepared to work alone including driving to areas anywhere in the Council area during the hours of darkness and in inclement weather. Personal protective equipment, tools, transport and training will be provided. Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications. A current full driver’s licence is essential for this post The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) for adults and children.
