Mobile Technician

Equans is looking for a Mobile Technician to join our Islington Schools contract on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £38,000 – £40,000 per annum dependent upon skills and experience. In addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.

What will you deliver?

• Reactive and planned maintenance tasks to Electrical and mechanical building services systems
• Emergency light testing, including remedial works
• High level lamping and lighting fittings replacement
• Fault finding and remedial works on electrical, mechanical and ventilation systems including AHU, HRU and FCU systems
• Installation and repair to power and data cabling
• Provide technical solutions for PPM works and fault rectification
• Liaise with Help Desk, Technical supervisors and Technical services manager
• Assist in the preparation of quotes for Variation and Small Works
• Liaise with sub-contractors to resolve M&E and controls related issues.
• Issue induction, permits to works and Equans Safety programs where required
• This list isn’t exhaustive and you will be required to undertake other tasks deemed reasonable by the management team.

Who are we looking for?

• Professional Electrical Qualification (Level 3 and C&G 17th or 18th edition)
• Experience in a customer facing role is desirable
• Good reading and writing skills
• Good numeracy skills
• Good computer literacy
• Ability to plan and prioritise own work activities and manage own time efficiently
• Ability to handle a varied workload with attention to detail and be able to work on own initiative
• Highly motivated and capable of multi-tasking, coupled with a team player attitude
• Courteous, helpful and ‘can do’ attitude
• Ability to communicate well at all levels
• Reasonable flexibility to meet business needs

This role includes a DBS Enhanced check therefore ability to pass is essential.
