Model-Based Software Solutions Engineer / Basildon / £80 per hour
We are seeking a talented Model-Based Software Solutions Engineer to join our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence Organisation based at their site in Basildon. If you have a passion for developing high-functional and formally integral solutions, this role is tailor-made for you.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a small team of software engineers and a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop cutting-edge solutions for challenging applications.
- Utilise MBSE with Cameo Systems Modeller and UML with MagicDraw, along with other relevant technologies such as Matlab & Simulink for code generation.
- Employ an Object-Oriented Design (OOD) approach and techniques to craft flexible architectures and communication frameworks.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements management to design, implementation, testing, and integration.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as RTCA 178C, IEC-61508, and coding standards like MISRA C/C++.
- Participate in automated testing, continuous integration, and verification processes.
- Execute support strategies and manage updates, including module and system-level integration and testing.
- Work within a self-organising agile team, engaging in software development stages from design to integration.
- Contribute to the development of software development plans, balancing project needs with company and external processes.
- Generate software test plans, specifications, and application documentation such as user guides and troubleshooting guides.
Ideal expereince
- Proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeller with UML using MagicDraw.
- Experience with C/C++/C#, Matlab/Simulink, and MBSE.
- Proven experience in software development, particularly in model-based solutions.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- It is necessary to have Security Clearance for this role.
Nice To Have:
- Familiarity with Bitbucket, Confluence, GitLab, JIRA, and Python.
