Scope: Secondary (KS3-4)

Location: S71

Pay scale: Pay to scale depending on experience

Working hours: part time/ full time considered

Contract type: temporary - permanent (starting in January 2024)

About the role:

An unmissable opportunity has arisen for a Modern foreign languages teacher to join our client School in the Barnsley area . The role is to cover KS3 & KS4 Modern foreign languages. This post provides an excellent opportunity for an ECT to develop their career as well as more experienced teachers. The appointed person will be required to teach across KS3, KS4, and all ability ranges.

Ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate for this role is a candidate looking for long-term supply work or ECT’s with QTS as this role could lead to a permanent contract. Candidates looking for part time work will also be considered. The candidate should be able to start as soon as possible, however, the school are willing to wait for the right candidate.

Skills/experience:

• Possess a PGCE certificate with QTS in Modern foreign languages.
• DBS on the update service (although if no current DBS is available this can be applied for via REED).
• Previous experience of teaching science in a secondary mainstream environment although the post is suitable for newly qualified teachers with QTS.
• Understanding of the National curriculum covering Modern foreign languages.
• A passion for your subject and a strong commitment to safeguarding children.
