An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of MOSOVO Coordinator for the North Kent and Swale teams. This role is based within the North Division MOSOVO (Management of Sexual Offenders and Violent Offenders) team primarily based at North Kent Police Station. This role is offered on a full-time basis working 37 hours per week over five days a week.  The suggested hours are 0800 – 1600, although the exact working pattern can be agreed with the line manager.  

 

This is a challenging role that also requires you to coordinate, organise and take minutes for PDP meetings (Potentially Dangerous Persons), working in partnership with key agencies. You will work closely with other professional agencies on a day-to-day basis and, therefore, excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team are essential.

 

You will have responsibility for maintaining ViSOR (Violent Sex Offenders Register) standards which includes the creation, updating and monitoring of offender’s electronic records on ViSOR, as well as transferring records across other divisions and Force areas.

 

You will be methodical, flexible and have a high level of attention to detail when undertaking your work and you will refer to national guidelines and ViSOR standards to make decisions based on relevance and importance. You will also provide support to Kent Police’s ViSOR Systems Supervisor.

 

The role will involve maintaining accurate information in relation to both ViSOR and MAPPA portfolios, liaising with relevant agencies and circulating information in a timely manner, ensuring support to contribute towards the effective management of nominals.

 

You should be able to provide examples of working cooperatively and professionally as this is a busy role which demands a meticulous approach. Prioritisation and ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment are essential.

 

You will be able to demonstrate high levels of personal motivation, discretion and resilience when dealing with information of a highly sensitive nature.

 

You will have good interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, be conversant with a range of Microsoft Office products, including; Word, Excel, MS Teams, Outlook, together with the intranet.

 

A good working knowledge and previous experience of ViSOR and Athena would be advantageous, however training will be provided.

Kent Police  offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £29,073.00.

Note for potential candidates - It is currently proposed that the Kent Police, Headquarters site is re-locating back to Sutton Road Maidstone. As part of the relocation members of staff currently working at the current Headquarters in Northfleet may be redeployed to other workplaces and/or required to work in a more agile way. All new staff appointed to roles currently based at Kent Police, Northfleet after 12th June 2023 and before the move of the site will be accepting the contract knowing that their workplace could change. They will not be eligible to claim for any additional ‘home to work’ mileage costs or additional public transport costs incurred from the requirement to travel their new contractual workplace.
