If you have current teaching qualifications excellent but if you haven’t and wish to make the move into the classroom you will need to have the willingness to work towards your "Diploma in Education" (DET) and Assessor and Verifier qualifications
Most important is your practical knowledge and experience in the workshop a Level II qualification is required, and a Level III qualification is preferred
Job Description
Provide a high-quality learning experience for all students/trainees
Demonstrate high levels of job performance
Contribute to the provision of a welcoming and supportive environment for students/trainees
Make a positive contribution to the team, valuing colleagues’ particular professional expertise and respecting other members of the team as individuals
Organise own workload to meet deadlines and targets with minimum supervision
Communicate effectively face to face, on the telephone and in writing
Demonstrate tasks/processes to individuals and small groups
Work with young people with social, emotional, and behavioural issues
Understand and work with a diverse range of cultural groups
Prepare, maintain, and repair equipment and resources
Use standard and subject specific PC software to produce a range of documents
Carry out Academy business as appropriate and promote the Academy’s good reputation within the community.

Salary
Up to £32,134 without teacher training experience rising up to £41,333 after you have gained qualifications.
