SalaryJob Title: Motor Vehicle Trainer Assessor
Location: Must be flexible with travel across Colchester and Ipswich
Salary: £35,000
Type: Full Time, 12-month FTC – possibility to go permanent
Essential Criteria (for all candidates):
- Ideally hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA – or willingness to work towards within 3 months (fully funded and supported)
- Ideally hold a recognised Teaching qualification: PTLLS / AET or above/equivalent.
- Ideally have experience of assessing the Motor Vehicle Diploma / Apprenticeships – or experience of supporting apprentices within the workplace / on the job training.
- Must hold solid, occupational competency as Vehicle Mechanic / Engineer – ideally within the military / ex-military.
- Hold a relevant NVQ or BTEC in Motor Vehicle at Level 3 or above.
- Must be flexible with travel.
- Assess and mentor learners working towards Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship Standards to Level 3.
- Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
- Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
- Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
- Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
- Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
