About this position:Got experience in Production Planning? My client is the leading manufacturer in advanced LED lighting systems for commercial trucks, buses and trailers. They are also an innovation epicenter for the transportation and defense industries. Within those innovations, they're spearheading the integration of electric and autonomous technologies into commercial and military vehicle lighting. As a Mould Shop Production Planner you will be responsible for planning internal production in accordance with customer demands and safety stock levels driven by the S&OP process that balances supply and demand in accordance with their business strategy. The OEM Production Planner will be responsible for 40+ plastic injection moulding machines to schedule both resource and tool changes to meet both internal and external requirements.Responsibilities: * Using the MRP Suggestions to produce and administer a sequenced daily/weekly production plan and an optimised medium term manufacturing plan * To consider factors such as available capacity; available materials, line efficiency and cost and liaise with the Customer / S&OP Manager to understand current market needs and trends adjusting parameters accordingly * To ensure all customer requirements are efficiently and effectively planned through the appropriate planning tools and scheduled to maintain appropriate stocks levels to achieve on-time delivery and to report on the status of any overdue orders * To create, expedite, defer or cancel production schedules * To review capacity load profile reports to help level capacity constraints * To coordinate inventory consumption plans to minimise obsolescence following engineering changes * To escalate supply chain concerns to the Management team as appropriate * To create and maintain a ‘can do’ attitude which provides internal and external customers with an outstanding level of customer service * To inform the post holders line Manager of any difficulties in actioning the above and agree resolution * Any other duties which may reasonably be required by the post holders line Manager or Plant Manager
